Six-Pack Apartment

Six-Pack Apartment is a modest alteration to a small apartment in an existing six-pack block. The project works within the limits of a compact plan, shared building fabric, fixed services and a tight construction budget. The work focuses on making the apartment more useful without making the intervention feel bigger than the project needs to be. Storage, joinery, finishes, lighting and small plan adjustments do most of the work. The architecture sits in the calibration of everyday use: where things are stored, where furniture can go, how the main room is occupied, and how a small apartment can feel less compromised.
